What is Hypnosis

Have you ever been totally absorbed while reading a book, cooking or watching a movie?
Did you zone out to the point where you didn't notice what else was going on around you?

If so, you have experienced a type of trance-like state or focused attention, that is similar to what happens while you experience hypnosis.

Almost everyone has experienced some form of hypnosis during their life.
Daydreaming, missing miles on the highway, getting lost in front of the computer or television, are all examples of the hypnotic trance state.

Hypnosis is concentrated relaxation. In other words, hypnotism allows a person to relax, while focusing on a particular problem or desired result. It's not just relaxing or falling asleep. During hypnosis, you relax your mind and body, moving past the guard of your conscious mind, to the subconscious mind. Your conscious mind constantly edits and grades and judges your thoughts and inputs. Your subconscious mind is a sponge waiting to absorb whatever you give it. Your subconscious mind doesn't know the difference between reality and imagination. Therefore, if you can get past the locked gates of your conscious mind to your subconscious mind, you can feed the subconscious "imagined reality." So if you can imagine your desired change, your subconscious mind can accept that as reality.

Hypnosis is simply a state of increased awareness and sensitivity that allows your changes to take place. During hypnosis the central nervous system is open and receptive, Since the subconscious mind is directly linked to the nervous system, hypnosis allows the positive words and suggestions of the hypnotist or hypnotherapist to be established in the subconscious mind as new habits and beliefs. This makes it possible to get to the heart of deep-seated habits and behaviors and to build new tools for change and for life.

It has been said that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. People are only hypnotized because they allow themselves to be put in trance and because they cooperate to make it happen. At all times during hypnosis the client is always in control and does not lose consciousness at any time during the session. The client may say whatever they choose and may terminate the session at any time they so desire.

The success of hypnosis is directly related to the level of commitment and motivation within the client.

Abuse Recovery

Hypnosis is a valuable tool in releasing negative emotions after experiencing abuse. All of us are individuals and we are all unique in the way we were introduce to abuse. The same is evident in the way we heal and release the past traumas that have occurred in our life. Because of the many different forms of abuse that exists, the way in which the past affects us is different from person to person.

Our memory bank, where all of our past experiences are stored, is frozen in time, and so the past can seem as real today as it was back when it first occurred.

While choosing to use hypnosis as way to deal with abuse, always remember that only you can know what is real to you. Be sure that you get to discover what lies inside of you in your own way. Hypnosis is a very effective tool to find inner strength and emotional peace.

We are aware of the importance of privacy and safety when dealing with past abuse and as such all sessions take place in a safe environment, where the needs of you, the client is our top priority. You continue to work with your emotions in your own way, taking the time that you need to find what you are looking for. Only you can know what is right for you emotionally, and through hypnosis and hypnotherapy you rediscover your own strengths and resources.

ADD & ADHD

Anger Management

Anger is a completely normal human emotion. Anger is a guide to our personal boundaries of what we like and dislike, and when expressed in a healthy way anger is productive.  When our feelings of anger gets out of control and turns destructive, it often leads to problems.  The problems that arise from out of control anger can be found in all aspects of our daily lives, such as problems at work, in your personal relationships, and in the overall quality of your life. Some of us even feel as though we are at the mercy of an unpredictable and powerful emotion.

There is another way. Our program can guide you to your inner strength and you can learn to understand yourself and be in control of the way you express your feelings and your emotions.

Anger is an emotional state that can vary in intensity from mild irritation to intense fury and rage. Like other of our human emotions,  anger is accompanied by physiological and biological changes. When we get angry,  the heart rate and blood pressure goes up. Our body is always responding to the emotions that we are feeling. Even the levels of our energy hormones, adrenaline, and noradrenaline is increased.

Now the feeling of anger can be caused by both external and internal events and experiences. We might be angry at a specific person, such as a coworker, supervisor, partner or family member. Perhaps it is an event like a traffic jam or  a canceled flight that triggers our reaction. Some of us produce the feeling of anger because we are worrying or brooding about our personal problems, like finances, relationships etc.
And then there are some of us that carry memories of traumatic or enraging events which when we ponder on those trigger angry feelings within us.

Pregnancy, Childbirth and Beyond

Being pregnant is an amazing experience. Knowing that a child is coming into this world. A new life is preparing itself to enter and live on our planet.
So many things are changing in anticipation for the coming of a child.  In reality many births are happening within the one of a child: a woman becomes a mother, a man becomes a father, girls become sisters and boys becomes brothers.
One birth reaches into generations, and many shifts takes place, lives are changed forever.

In our society we have structures in place, rules, regulations and beliefs about a birth, what it means, what it creates and what demands it makes on the parents.
We have expectations on what is about to happen, and people around us gladly gives us their own personal knowledge. Yet most often the real important aspects of a birth, of a new person entering this planet is never delved into to.

With hypnosis and hypnotherapy, we have the opportunity to create a bond of communication and love with the unborn child. We have the possibility to experience trust and safety, getting to know our child as well as allow this child to get to know us.

Our outside life, work, relationships, finances and health are naturally weighing on our minds and with an approaching birth life is intensified. The experience of stress in both the mother and the father is absorbed by the unborn child, creating a less peaceful environment in which the child develops.

Through the use of hypnosis and hypnotherapy you have the ability to restore tranquility within yourself and therefore within the environment that your child is developing, setting up a foundation of inner balance for your unborn child.

Most of you know of hypnosis used as a way to lessen or totally remove pain in the childbirth experience.  At Synergy of Oneness we delve into the relationship with your child and the foundation you are creating within your child. It is known that the fetus stores information from the beginning of its journey into human form, and with this knowledge, we now know the importance of creating a space tranquility for the child to develop in.

Dream Interpretation

Some of us remember our dreams vividly.... we remember images, feelings, sounds and so on. Some of us don't remember much from our dreams, only certain intense images or feelings, and then some of us don't remember anything from our dreams.
Some of us dream in color and some of us dream in black and white.

Any dream that you have is a product of your mind. You could be amazed at the creativity of your own mind!
Now there exists many books on the subject of dream interpretation, yet is is really possible for someone else to know what your mind created for you to see?

Could it be that your mind creates specifically for you? -
choosing deliberate images knowing how you react to them?
Is it possible that you react in one way to an image or experience and someone else reacts differently?

Do your best not to assume that there is necessarily a single clear meaning which can be interpreted according to psychological theories or books on dream significance or dream interpretation. How can your dreams have the same meaning as someone else? Is your brain the same as that persons?

We have found that the most useful assumption to have about dreams  and the interpretation of them, is that a dream has a significance to  you, the dreamer, because the dream comes from your internal, subconscious mind’s storehouse of feelings, images, memories and experiences. The dreams we have are an active and useful way of processing information and emotions. Dreaming is quite different from – and just as useful as – the processing that belongs to the logical conscious part of your mind.

Dreams demonstrate a different level of mental functioning from the more used form such as our conscious, disciplined thoughts.

The program we have at DHTIC is a personalized dream interpretation. We allow you to connect with the artist that created your dream, your subconscious mind and we guide you through understanding the specific and personal message your dream has for you.

Habitual Changes

Memory Recall

We live in a world that is very busy and full of information. It is almost impossible to go anywhere without being bombarded with information on so many different levels of awareness. All of our senses  are used when storing information. We use our sense of sight, sound, smell and touch as the primary way in which we gather information.
If we where living in a calm and tranquil environment, we would still be bombarded with information at the rate about 60,000 stimuli per second!
That is every second of every minute of every hour of every day that you live, the barrage continues unrelentingly.

The biggest barrier to recalling information or memories is the stress we experience in our lives during our daily lives.  Stress is the static or white noise of our mind and it makes the process of recall very difficult and sometimes  impossible.

Since our mind operates in its conscious mode during most of our day and our conscious mind can only hold 4-7 clusters of information at any given time, it then becomes our subconscious mind that receives and stores the primary amount of the incoming information. Our subconscious mind stores this information, including the sensations that came with it, such as our feelings and emotions, permanently.

The process of storing information, called memories, is found to begin as early as in utero. There are different opinions on just how early memories are stored, in working with clients we  have seen it go to different times. What is important to know is that the process of storing memories is automatic, and all memories are permanently stored within our magnificent subconscious mind.
It is possible to recall memories whenever needed.

Because our subconscious mind is the keeper and protector of our memories and hypnosis is the most direct way  to access it, hypnotherapy is an effective way to recall information otherwise thought to be forgotten.  Hypnosis is a way to lessen the stress we are experiencing and thereby creating the possibility of recalling the "lost" information.

There are many different reasons we use hypnosis. Some of us simply needs to locate lost items like jewelry, important papers or keys. Some of us would like to recall important information when going through testing or preparing for an exam.

Some of us have memories that carry intense emotions and these memories may be so deep within us that we cannot connect with them clearly, yet they continue to affect us in our daily lives.

Using hypnosis to recall any memory is directly linked to the ability of the client to relax and allow the process to take place. It may take some time before you feel comfortable with reconnecting with your memories, and that is perfectly natural.

Overcoming Negative Thinking

Do you find yourself being negative about your life?
Does your thoughts seem to take on a life of their own?
Do you find yourself getting more and more negative?
Does it seem like there is no light at the end of the tunnel?

Having negative thoughts and experiencing them in our daily life can be quite disturbing.  For many our negative thoughts seem to run on their own, some times taking over our ability to allow something new to enter our life.
Often the negativity takes over and our relationships with others can become affected and people may eventually disengage from us.

Negativity is an easy thing to become used to. For many, life on this planet seem to be heading in the wrong direction, and many outside circumstances influence the way we feel about ourselves as well as others and life in general.

Is it possible you are holding yourself back with your negative thinking? Whether it be in your career, in love or other personal relationships, negative thinking can block progress and keep you from your desires. This CD by Jason Newcomb offers a holistic approach to ridding yourself of negative thoughts that are keeping you from being the most successful you can be.

Each person holds the power in their subconscious to stop the destruction negative thinking is responsible for in their lives. Jason Newcomb will teach you to overcome negativity through self-hypnosis. Learning to overcome this negativity will lead to improved self-image, help you overcome fears and change your view of the world around you into a better, more positive place.

Included with this CD is Jason Newcomb’s track: Energy and Focus. The combination of positive thinking and increased energy and focus will allow you to reach the goals you deserve and experience life at a whole new level.

Good mental health requires the correct approach to life that not only overcomes particular issues but also maintains ongoing happiness and lasting inner peace. Outlined in these articles is some basic advice on how to begin to make lasting changes in your life.

Hypnosis and meditation are the best ways to focus the mind towards overcoming unwanted and developing useful mental states. Other ways that encourage healthier states of mind include being creative or active, or acts of kindness such as voluntary work.

Having prepared ourselves in a positive way it's also a good idea to have some tools that help us deal with any unwanted mental states that do arise.

hrough the use of hypnotic techniques and language, the doorway to your subconscious can be opened with your permission and cooperation, and then, information can be introduced hypnotically through hypnotic suggestion to:

1. Change your negative self-suggestions.
2. Reduce your feelings of guilt and self-blame.
3. Help you to begin making positive choices again.
4. Shift your perspectives on your negative experiences.

Past Life Regression

Working with the memories of times past can be an amazing and transformative experience.
The process of remembering times beyond this lifetime can give you a power and freedom that allows a deepening understanding of your patterns, past and present, and a new understanding of your relationships and your response to them in the present.

Accessing the memories from your past lives is as easy as accessing memories of anything you may have experienced few days ago, or few years ago.

So what is it that holds any memory in your mind and your energy fields?

It is your emotions.
If you think of any experience in this life, you may notice that those that were emotionally intense, significant or unique in any way, are easier to recall, than ordinary everyday experiences.

From the therapeutic perspective, it is less important if the past experience is considered "real" or "imaginary". Scientifically it is proven, that what the subconscious mind holds as a memory, is then experienced as real for that person. What happened yesterday or a year ago in your life, is no longer "real" in your present, it exists only in your memory - however, that memory may still be exerting a great influence, empowering or disempowering you in your present life.

Phobia Release

A phobia is an abnormal fear, which is brought on by a particular object or situation. A phobic reaction that is severe can be completely debilitating for the sufferer as their only concern in that moment is to avoid the object of their fear.

The causes of phobias can have their roots all the way back in childhood. Phobias can be transferred, as in a child observing it’s mother or father having a phobic reaction to a situation or an object.

Releasing phobias can take 2-4 sessions and will use several techniques to diffuse the fear response in your brain. Hypnosis can create a new response to the old trigger. We create an anchor that produces a calm, peaceful feeling when you choose to fire the anchor.

An anchor can be something like a thumb and finger pressed together that reminds the body how to respond, based upon an imagined response while in hypnosis. An anchor can also be visual or auditory. You are also taught self hypnosis to reinforce the calm peaceful feeling.

Some clients choose to regress to the phobia producing event and though releasing those memories the phobic response is released.

Sports Enhancement

Hypnosis works for enhancing your game no matter what the sport is. Olympic teams of all nationalities have long recognized the power of mental rehearsal as equally important to physical practice. It is no longer a 'trade secret' that the dramatic edge is gained by self hypnosis to achieve top performance.

Hypnosis was once the elite athlete's secret formula for success, now it is available to everyone.

Hypnosis is now used by many people to improve their performance, mental attitude, their focus and concentration.

Competition can be intimidating and fear of humiliation can result in the diminished use of ones skills. To overcome this, you can use hypnosis at any time during competition.

Most athletes have experienced the exhilarating feeling of being in " the Zone" (groove, flow, etc.). When you learn the art of self hypnosis you have the power of "the Zone" at your command.

Stop Smoking Cessation

Today, there are so many options for smokers who want to quit. The nicotine patch and nicotine gum are widely available, as are so many other helpful quit smoking aids. Hypnotism to stop smoking is an excellent way to end your smoking habit because the success rates are possibly double that of the patch and gum.

Multiple studies have shown that using hypnosis to quit smoking works in a high percentage of cases. Hypnosis can aid in reducing stress, which is one of the reasons many smokers report that they smoke in the first place.

There are three basic elements to deal with when someone quits the smoking habit: The physical dependency, the mental dependency and the emotional dependency.

When using the Stop Smoking Cessation through hypnosis, all three aspects of the smoking habit is dealt with.

Since smoking has many individual elements involved, we deal with it on case by case basis which makes our program unique and effective.

Our program is personalized to fit you, the client.

Stress Management

Stress has become the number one malady of our time. The effects of stress are even more profound than imagined.
It penetrates to the core of our being. Stress is not something that just grips us and with time or with effort, then lets us go. It alters our bodies and our brain.

The new paradigm of stress demonstrates that there is a link between psychological events and physical eruptions, between mind and body.

Stress is a condition or feeling experienced when a person perceives that demands exceed the personal and social resources the individual is able to mobilize.

In our program we use mindfulness relaxation. We teach you to focus on calming yourself and becoming aware of your body. First we teach you to listen to your body, we teach you to release existing stress and tension and then you learn to live without accepting stress into your life.

We teach a new way of life.

You also learn to retrieve your feelings of relaxation during your day.
